tea mandala ritual
a workshop and invitation to slow down, connect with plants, body and senses, and create a personal tea blend to support an intention.
This process invites to pause and deeply listen - what is your intention, what is the next step in your life? What personal stories the plants reveal and how can they support your intention?
It works beautifully both as an individual and a group ritual.
Tea Mandala Ritual as a method is developed by Evita Lūkina who created it as a tool for connecting with one’s sensations and with whom I have been apprenticing to carry this method further.

ROOTED spells
An artwork in two series, 2025
ROOTED spells is two series of poetic spells for collective repair and radical imagination co-written with plants.
Each spell is part of an ongoing artistic practice exploring care, resistance, grief, and collective imagination through language, ritual, and relationship with the more-than-human world.
The work consists of two spell series:
Series I: SPELLS FOR THE INVISIBLE WORK OF REMAKING WORLDS
Spells of listening, tending, dreaming, and remembering.
With: mugwort, yarrow, elder, and the grasses.
Series II: SPELLS FOR FIERCE LOVE, COURAGE, AND COLLECTIVE ACTION
Spells of truth-telling, action, and liberation.
With: dandelion, nettle, cedar, and rose.
Each spell is printed as a postcard. The visuals are made using a mix of watercolour, collage, and digital scan-and-print techniques.

Herbal Tea Library
An incentive to inspire people at Institut for (X) to learn to engage with local plants as companions through drinking herbal tea. The tea library is a collection of 40 wonderful plants and herbs that are delicious and healthy for daily teas. Biggest majority have been collected wild in Mols, or grown in X's medicinal /tea garden and then dried and prepared by me. Some of the plants have been purchased at Meadow Pharmacy or from Ozoliņi tea farm in Latvia. I make seasonal blends and teach people to make their own blends and collect plants for their own stocks. The library is for X members, but if you would like to come for an inspiration visit or hire me to help you set your own up, don’t hesitate to reach out.
research with plants
I explore ways in which plants and humans can and already do collaborate to create worlds more livable to all and break the curse of separation cast by the colonial and extractivist logic of modernity. my research practice consists of working with plants through gardening and herbalism, learning and exchanging knowledge with plants through somatic and artistic practices, singing with plants, exchanging with other plant-people, studying the work of scholars within the “plant turn”, and developing artistic methods for entering into deeper relationships with plants. findings and reflections from these investigations I weave into performances, workshops and my daily life as a field of practice. here you can see snippets of different research processes presented in a non-hierarchical, non-structured way.
I am especially curious about perspectives and knowledges on plant-human relationships stemming from the Baltic Sea region, if you are a plant practitioner from this region, please reach out, I want to meet you.
plant whispering
the research method I am currently most curious about and invested in is something I and other practitioners call “plant whispering” - an intuitive process of the human body becoming a vessel through which the communications of plants can translate into songs and sounds.
unearthing plant wisdom through song is an act of surrendering to the intuitive, allowing the self to become a medium through which the unspoken, unheard voices of plants find expression. The melodies and songs that emerge in these moments of connection are not premeditated or composed. They are spontaneous, intuitive expressions, born from a place of deep listening and respect for the plant beings sharing their wisdom. It is a form of communication that transcends words and worlds, reaching into the depths of our being, resonating with our own innate connection to the rest of the living world and the ancient, rooted wisdom that quietly permeates our world.
if you are a fellow plant whisperer, please reach out, I would love to learn and practice together.
